The Support Education Excellence in Kentucky (SEEK) funding program is a formula driven allocation of state provided funds to local school districts. The SEEK application allows for web based submission of necessary input data to allow KDE to calculate and allocate funding along with other pertinent data. The SEEK application also supports the submission of other critical data that is not utilized in the SEEK formula to allow Districts a centralized submission system.
Who uses the system?
Authorized district staff and business administrators including District Finance Officers and authorized personnel at the Kentucky Department of Education are users of this system.
What data are collected?
The data collected through the SEEK application includes: financial information, budgets, tax information, classified and professional staff information, salaries, fidelity and depository bond information, student transportation, student attendance, and other aggregate student information for financial adjustments.
