READINESS FOR COLLEGE/CAREER
A key focus for Kentucky is preparing each student for college/career. Kentucky's future accountability system will include indicators of college/career readiness. A special report for this section is the High School Graduates College/Career Readiness Percentage. Other reports for this category include results from Educational Planning and Assessment System (EPAS), readiness assessments (EXPLORE, PLAN and the ACT) and the Graduation Rate.

Graduates
This report indicates the number of graduates and percentage that have succesfully met an indicator of readiness for college/career. The indicators of readiness include student performance on the ACT, compilation of college placement tests or attainment of an industry-recognized career certificate.

Explore
Administration of the EXPLORE and PLAN assessments, which are provided by ACT, Inc., was mandated by Senate Bill 130 in the 2006 session of the Kentucky General Assembly. The two assessments are designed to help schools focus on meeting academic standards across the entire secondary school program.

Kentucky requires all juniors to take the ACT. This report displays the average scores of grade 11 tested students in English (18), Mathematics (22), Reading (21), Science (24) and the overall Composite.

Kentucky requires all juniors to take the ACT. This report displays the percentage of grade 11 tested students meeting the benchmarks established by ACT. The ACT benchmarks for each tested subject are English (18), Mathematics (22), Reading (21) and Science (24).
